I gotta tell you about the Shipwreck Museum on our Florida Keys Vacation. It was kind of rainy and gloomy and so we didn’t get to go out on the glass bottom boat as planned. Well, we could have went out but I overheard the Captain of the ship telling people that the waters could be a bit rocky and it’s been years since I was on the water, so we opted to visit museums instead. Shipwreck Museum Tower


There was so much to see on our Florida Keys Vacation that I thought I would continue telling you about the Shipwreck Museum. When you go inside and take a look at all the booty like silver, old bottles, ropes, old diving gear and so much more, you can’t believe the things that would be in a ship. This was my hubby’s favorite item and I”m sure it was many a man’s back in the 1800′s.

Florida Keys Vacation – What to see in Key West



We stumbled upon an old Civil War Fort when we were walking around the pet park off of White Street in Key West. So, we decided to walk inside and see what was going on and we find out The Key West Garden Club took over the Fort and had the most lush, beautiful gardens ever.  The fireplace you will see in the video below is gigantic! My husband commented that he didn’t understand why they would need a big old fireplace in Key West but my thoughts are that back in the days of the Civil War, that was how they cooked.  Here is the lush gardens:
